Most family tents are very large and often have more than one room which can make sleeping more comfortable. They also usually have a good sized porch which is useful as most families need allot of storage space. It is also good when they have a canopy as these can make sitting outside of the tent more comfortable as they provide shelter from the sun.
The large family tents are often framed with the smaller family tents using either a frame or a dome design.
